On-Water Stage

Ten years ago Bassmania introduced an innovative way to stage its weigh in show. The Bassmania on-water stage provided anglers an avenue to use their boats as billboards for their sponsors, show off their electronics and tackle and give spectators an exciting thrill as they removed their fish from their live wells and placed them onto the scales. This was the beginning of the Bassmania interactive weigh in show.

In 2001, Bassmania updated the on-water stage to continue the tradition.

In 2005, with the support of Lund , Mercury and other CSFL sponsors along with the overwhelming angler commitment, Bassmania was able to commission Bill Kells of B & B Custom Fabrication to create a state of the art/boat friendly on-water stage. B & B Custom Fabrication with the enthusiasm of Bill Kells, a competitive angler himself, provided insight and direction in constructing this stage. Grant Mills of Gault Reliance Elevator Co. Ltd. contributed his workmanship in adding the finishing touches to the weigh-in table, which has been designed to adapt the concept of the water weigh in system developed by Shimano Canada .
