Is there a limit to the amount of boats?
Hi Guys,
Was wondering about the Boat ramp and parking. Will it handle over 110 boats? Is there another launch close that can be used?
Thanks
Yes Sir
I would think the George St. ramp location can handle 100 + lots parking on the road (not a busy road)Quote:

There is also another ramp about 2Km east on Herchimer Av. Some QFS guys use that ramp during our tournys'.
There is a large parking lot to the west of the launch that should be able to accomidate the over flow.
Thanks guys
are we able to launch at various locations for the tournament? It's going to be very busy if we are all going to the same launch.
Hey Guys,
Just wondering if the St. George Park is the same as SOUTH GEORGE PARK that is located at the base of:
Front st.
Chruch st.
John st.
George st.
Just looking it up on google maps to be sure I know where I'm going.
basically the end of George st. You can't miss it once your there.
Google Earth is out of date and doesnt really show the George st ramp and surrounding area well. There is also a lot of construction on Dundas st (hwy 2) so there might be issues with getting to the launch. im always keeping an eye on this as im working in Belleville. I can keep ya posted on detours and such as the tourny gets closer.
cheers!

Just FYI for guys out of town coming through belleville, I was around that area today and Dundas street is all ripped up, and church street from dundas was closed, not sure if it will be open up again by then, but just FYI, and the road is crap-all gravel and dusty!
#1 come down pinnacle street to dundas street (#2 hwy) go thru lights to george street ramp only constuction is at the lights
ttry to avoid dundas street east and west
if coming off 401 or 62 hwy (62 hwy south changes to n. front over the 401 bridge)take north front street straight thru it changes into pinnacle street at the bridge over the moira river go straight thru as above #1
if coming of 37hwy go over 401 bridge which changes into cannifton road straight thru to station street turn right to pinnacle street turn left
onto pinnacle straght thru as above #1
THE ONLY CONSTRUCTION WILL BE CROSSING DUNDAS STREET
After i read my own post it sounds scarier then it really is. My bad. Shelly is right, north/ south roads are still excellent.
Not bad u r correct about
(dundas aka as #2 hwy) keep updating
U r doing a great job and I will try to
Keep updated also!!!!?fish
Kevin,
Have you worked out the weight updates yet? Twitter? Facebook?
Would it be worth doing a trail run before the tournament to ensure all participating have their smart phones configured?
Regards,
Gord
Been 'tweeting' info and updates for quite a while now. Since December I think. We have about 50 followers on Twitter @quintebasschamp like it says on the Poster.
This is also how we will let anglers know what the top three weights are for any given hour helping them decide if they want to run to the weigh station or keep fishing. Once at the weigh station there will be a leader board visible to teams on the water. This will also help them decide if they want to weigh in or keep fishing.
If you have a Smart phone start following!
can you pay and sign up before blastoff?not sure if i can come may be a last minute thing,if not good luck guys
As it says in the Poster\entry form\rules at the beginning of this thread - Entry forms and fee are due one week before the tournament. It would be quite a challenge to take entry fees on the morning of for an event this big. Sorry, I wish we could make it easier for you. Hope you can make it though! Its going to be a blast!
Whats a TWITTER :)
Well Shelly, Tweetering is like talking to someone without having to look them in the eye or listen to them gab on about nonsense. lol Its something the new generation of kids use insted of normal socializing.
lol ?LOL
Cheers!

Kevin,
How else can the anglers get the 3 top weight for the hour if they don't have twitter/facebook account on their phone.
Everyone's phone # and text that group
Would be nice. Just a thought from a
Old guy!!!
Shelly don't start with me or I will box u one!
In your dreams gnarly dude don't $@@&$ with the
Older dudes
I was wonder how the updates were going to be done also. I am willing to bet there are still a number of guys without smartphones and therefore twitter and Facebook would not work for everyone. But would I be wrong assuming everyone has a phone that can recurve text message ? (even without a text plan incoming text are free...I think)
Any other communication method you guys are planning ?
The only electronic method that will be done will be on our twitter acct. Maybe a buddy can sign up for those without smartphones and you can call them for an update. There will also a top 3 leader board at the end of the pier with the most available updates on it. This board will be in clear view for you to read before crossing the weigh in line. When the weigh in line is crossed, your "team" will be committed to weighing in 1 fish no matter what.
Great now I need glasses to see the board and
The line :) lol
do I sense tension building here...lol
Nah just giving the lil s%#t a hard
time
Kevin,
How many teams are we up to?
Can we expect an email or post regarding procedures
or protocols for weighing in etc?
I'll say it again..... I LOVE RULE #18 (No lip puncture cull equipment)
I just hope it is strongly enforced...and I hope all other tournament organizations follow the excellent lead !!!
Derek,
We are up to 120 teams now!
We will post up procedures, information, FAQs here and on other message boards soon. There will be information packages for each team in the morning at the George St Park launch. These same packages will also be available for pickup for those who want to get a jump on things the night before at ProAdvantage Sports and Hobbies (48 Dundas West Belleville). The store is open until 9PM. Organizers will also be on hand there to answer any questions too.
