Bob Mahoney, put out a list of boaters/non boaters :!
Mike it has been decided that a final list will be published after May 1st after everyone has paid in full. This will then provided the most complete and final list for the event.
Please don't call me out with nasty looking little creatures Mike, its scary!?LOL
Thanks
Thanks for your prompt reply sir !
Thought you had to pay by Dec 31 2009, no exceptions!
Full payment is due by May 1. An entry form and deposit secured a spot.

As a non-boater.....
I think I read in my package, there will be a meeting the night before the event and not until then are we to know with whom us NB's will be with.
I attended the Bass Talk in Trenton last weekend and asked Doug B what he thought NB's should bring and his experience. We talked for a bit then he basically said, and it makes sense; to ask the Pro.
Please understand, I'm not complaining...but it would be nice to know well in advance whom we'll be with and to contact them to see what they say in advance.
Going home after the mandatory meeting, and re-organizing my equipment for the next morning is something I really don't want to do...I need my beauty sleep! ?LOL
So, of course, the issue I have then is...do I;
1) Bring way too much and ween it down at the ramp?
If pressed for time, not a good idea and doesn't instill much confidence on either
side.
2) Hope that whomever I'm hooked up with has what we'll need and offer it to me.
Then I feel like a mooch, hate being dependent on people and maybe I have
something that may work just as well.
3) Just wing it and feel unprepared.
Again, not good for confidence and as learned in life and at BT, not a good strategy.
4) Bring my Dora the Explorer rod, sun block and a sammich! ;)
It makes a huge difference based on where and what we're targeting (smallies or LM) and what I need to bring....
As it is now, before every tournament, I re-organize everything but I have an idea what, where and how I'll be fishing. Being a NB, I have no control over this and want to offer all I can and be prepared. Having a couple of hours to completely change gear and get sleep in is not too great.
I hope I haven't hi-jacked this topic...just really hope this is a consideration on the organizers side.
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Paul
I agree with Paul. It would be nice to know at least a week ahead of time..I would like to hook up with one of my pros to see if he needs help with pre-fish. and to make sure I have what I need as far as baits are concerned.
Hey Paul and Todd,
While i understand where you are coming from, your pro might not know even the day or days before what he is doing...
i think you need to be prepared in Kingston for either. What you have going for you is that it is a team based event, meaning i am sure your Boaters are going to want to do everything they can to help you out!!!!
can't wait.
ryan
who knows what the weather will be like too, It would be nice if we had a flat lake for the tournament but i doubt that will happen lol.
Neil, I will pray hard for both of us, If that happens the weights will go throught the roof
Stay off my spot MIke
What's wrong with going for my Golden PB :P
ok so leave it all to the pro got it. I mean this is my first tournament ever. I wouldn't want to step on any toes.
For Non-Boaters/Co-anglers preparing for an event there are two scenarios to consider:
Scenario A) Team Tournament: in this case the Boater and NB will be fishing as a team. Therefore, a NB may not need to bring as much. Both anglers are fishing as a team and will likley assist each other. In many cases the Boater may prefer to assist the NB with rods, tackle, etc.
Scenario B) Individual Tournament: in this case the Boater and NB are fishing for their own fish. In this case the NB needs to be more self sufficient.
Preparing after a tournament meeting does not need to be that much work. There are lots of articles on the web NB/Co-anglers can read up on for preparation tips.
its pretty simple....plan for brown unless your pro wants to come 15th(dougie the exception)
