This is going to be hoot and half!! May set a new president for one-off events all over the province - great concept - right price - will be getting entry in ASAP!
later ......... G!
Sounds like a great event! Will definitey consider fishing it!
2 quick questions......
1. How many largies can we have in the well at any one time? 10?
2. Can the same team win both 1st and second in the same hour?
Just saying because if i get on a school of 6 lb'ers i want to fill that well and then eat fries at the launch!!
2 fish in the livewell at any time. And yes you can because its 1 fish per angler.
Boat # 1 ....no pressure Durl Wannamaker ;)
SChools of six's?? - I'm following Colin!
And throwing an alabama rig?
a school 6lb largies hunter? really???? dude what are you smoking I've fished with you many times...honestly man you don't have the talent!!!! LOL you hardly have the talent for a 5 lber.
lmfao be nice Crowley!
And the smack talk begins.....get your entry forms in folks, this ones gonna be a blast !!
Where can I get the entry form ?
A couple more questions.
1. Payouts are 100% based on a 100 boat field, are you accepting more than 100 boats?
2. Do payouts increase inline with more boats?
3. Will payouts decrease if you don't get 100 boats?
Looks like a great event, and I'm looking forward to fishing it!
Andrew, your questions 2,3 are answered in rule 20 above..
Crowley......keep pull starting that mini rig! Youll only be able to weigh in once, with all that travel time. Let us not highjack this thread, we will have lots of time to bash each other on another day.......
Hey Andrew,
Yes we are taking all entries...our goal is 150 boats..lofty perhaps, but I think it might be close to that number.
As for more boats = higher payouts...Yes and we will keep everyone posted as things progress. This a non profit event, our club has discussed ways to raise money for charities at the launch as well. Look for volunteers selling things like popcorn or maybe even ice cream with funds going to our local food bank.
Funds taken from entries will go back to anglers ( minus any expenses for running the tournament ) As for the less than 100 boats question...I don't think we will have any issues getting to that number, but if we don't yes we will have to figure out a new prize structure.
Hey Jimmy, just copy it from the top of the post and print. Let me know if that works for you.Quote:

LMAO @ hijaking.
I really love rule #18
"No puncture culling clips allowed"
I wish all Ontario tournaments would go to this rule.
I plan to do this tourny just because you have that VERY IMPORTANT rule! :clap
The hourly weigh-ins sounds fun too !!
largies only eh.... I'm definitely in!
Thank Mike it work, I'll be sending in my entry form asap. Haven't fish a tournament like that before, I'll be following Colin Hunter around to catch his second school of 6 lbers so I can have burger and fries at the launch too.
Hey Jimmy, I hear you can hold your own out there ! Thanks for supporting Quinte Bass Champs :)

Anyone who is coming to the Shimano meeting on Sunday in Peterborough that wants to fish Quinte Bass Champs, I will have entry forms with me and will take payment in the form of cheques or cash. 150.00 is the entry cost prior to May 1st
Update:
We will have a brand new state of the art water weigh in system and electronic display. The Everstart crew is on board with some treats and giveaways for spectators. They will also be collecting cash donations for the Frink outdoor education centre, and food items for the gleaners food bank in Belleville. We are over 90 teams now, even before the early bird deadline! We are getting very close to being able to guarantee the projected payouts!:clap
With such a response we will most certainly be looking to make this an annual opening day Quinte big bass event!
Follow us on Twitter @quintebasschamp
Awesome!
Great Job Kev, thanks for all of your hard work! Am I allowed to fish this yet? lol
There is no doubt this will grow to be one of the most anticipated events of the year in this part of the tournament world. Any excuse to fish Quinte is good one in my books; this "new to most of us" refreshing format adds a new dimension to our favourite game of bass fishing! Phenominal to see organisers packing so much into it, if not this year, my bet is you'll have a waiting list in coming years :clap ...absolutely great job putting this together...
Anyone out there who is still on the fence, "come on down from there!" and head for Quinte on June 23rd...
I'm just excited about seeing the new weigh in system and the new score board!!?LOL
very cool. may have to do this!
If anybody needs a partner for this, please let me know. u2u me or email me @ smurf_king55@hotmail.com. Ill gladly make the trip down from the sault. Would love to do this tourny
