Bass Pro Shops Kids trout fishing Day!!!

I want to take this time to thank Bass Pro Shops for putting on an excellent event with the trout fishing for kids on Saturday. BPS Kids' Club director Marc G. Desmarais, members of the BPS CFT Club and other BPS staff members made this event a fun day for all. To see the smiles and excitement in the kids faces as the hooked and landed trout was amazing. The biggest kid on the block Dave Chong looked like he was in his element putting on a clinic hooking trout after trout. Kudo's to all and the anglers who devoted time for this event. All the best to everyone.

It was great to see all the smiling faces on those kids! It didn't hurt that the weather co-operated somewhat. Marc along with George Wallace did a great job organizing the event. Everyone who lent a hand should be applauded, Dave Mercer, Mike Berleson, Paul Castellano, Frank Rotundo, Rob Patricio, Paul Spinelli, Dave Morgan...

Congratulations also to Derek Strub who put together a great kids' event out at Belwoods Conservation Area on Sunday. I do believe that over 200 kids participated in a workshop environment which included a tournament insight segment, Kasting Kids and a stocked trout pond. I can only imagine the amount of work involved in putting together such an event! Volunteers included members from the KW Bassmaster, Al Patton, Gary O'Neill and Bob Hunke to name a few! Kudos to all involved...

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Good Job Derek Strub!!!!

Anytime you put on a kids event and get such quality anglers to donate their time to help is a positive. My hat goes off to all the anglers and personnel helping out in both events. BIG THUMBS UP. Events like this can only make our industry look good.
I'm sure the kids just had a blast at both events and hopefully the fishing bug was planted in their little hearts. WHOOOOO WA as Al Pacino would say. lol
