Quinte Fishing Series Rules Reminder
I am passing this along on behalf of Pete.
All Anglers entering the first bass tournament of the season on June 23/24th are reminded of rule # 7 which states "Tournament waters will be off limits to anglers from Saturday, June 16th to Friday, June 22rd inclusive." Anglers who have to be on the water during this time for employment reasons are to contact Pete prior to going on the water.
Also, Anglers are reminded of rule # 27 which states The first bass tournament of each Quinte Fishing Series season, will be a largemouth bass only event! This rule will only be in effect at the first bass tournament and for the remaining four (4) bass tournaments, smallmouth bass will be eligible.
and all enteries must be postmarked by this saturday June 17th if you wish to fish this event. Good luck to everyone. As of this posting there are approximately 60 teams. Full field is 75 teams.

Tournament waters - off limit dates
Thanks Dan for the above posting but I will make one correction. The waters are off limits from Saturday, June 16th to Friday, June 22nd inclusive - right days just the wrong dates!! Good luck to all entered - should be a great weekend!!

Of interest, was Rule 27 put in for any biological or scientific reason?
Or was it just to make the event more fun and challanging?
Both reasons would be cool, just wondering why?
Thanks!

Hi Reid, I think it was because many of the smallmouth were being pulled from beds out in Lake Ontario where the water was at least 10 degrees colder than the bay. The fact the the fish were already under stress prior to being caught really increased mortalilty rates.

Hey Reid,
I just noticed all your sponsors... quite a list... do you use these products every time you go out?
And secondly, do you just put them on, one over the other?
?LOL
