Berkley B1 - recruiting scrutineers
Good day everyone!
My name is Maxime Chabot and I've been mandated to recruit scrutineers for the Berkley B1 tournament. I am also in charge of the fishing section at Sail dix30 in Brossard
I am currently recruiting people to join the Berkley B1 as observers. This is an incredible chance to get into the action in great boats to watch bass specialist at work. Held on magnificent Lake Saint Francis, 150 teams will compete for the championship. Smallmouth bass in the 7 pound range and weigh-in 5 fish bags of over 30 pounds is what we're expecting.
To be a scrutineer you must be over 18 years of age and must be available the 2nd and 3rd of October 2010 from 5:00 until approximately 15:30.There will also be a meeting in Lachine in mid September (date to be announced) to cover any information you might need and a short “tournament scrutineer†training session.
Every observer will receive a special edition tournament hat and surprise bag on the morning of October 2nd.
To register, simply email me your name and phone number to:
maxime.chabot@berkleyb1.com
Thank you.

We are speaking about making the scrutineer meeting 1 hour after the angler meeting on friday eveningè
that will be LOT easier for the people coming from far

I didn't realise this was open to single competitors and thought it was strictly a 2-man "Team" event. Is it safe to assume then, that without exception no single competitor will be allowed to fish without the accompanyment an "imparcial" (non-related) scrutineer?
Thanx .......... G!

Two guys throwing jerkbaits and an observer sounds like a Band-Aid commercial in the making...

Its no big deal. We had an observer last year at the B1 and it was not an issue. Now on the other hand for us poor non residents, we have to buy an Ontario license, a Quebec license and perhaps a Mohawk license. I just talked with the Ministry in Ontario and was told the reciprocal licensing is only valid if you are a Quebec or Ontario resident. Ouch

I was at the first B1 and wasn't happy with the scrutineer experience
I'm not being negative, but that was my reason for not entering. I hope they have a better system and conduct this year for all participants.
