I got to say i was sold on the talon then I seen this video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99t_gfJgEe8 and now I'm not sure on which one I wanna put on my boat Talon or Power Pole... Is there any type of Drive-off protection?

Both brands are durable without a doubt. It is amazing what they put those power poles through in that video. The Talon does have an alarm to notify you if it is in the down position when you start your engine.

Deployment Notification Alarm

If you turn your engine on while Talon is deployed, a Deployment Notification Alarm alerts you that the anchor is down. The alarm comes standard, but you can choose whether or not to install it.

We don't have all the mounts in stock, but we will be able to get you the mount you need within a couple of weeks. When you come in just let us know the model of boat, jackplate, and engine so we can get you the right mount.

I saw the video of the power pole as well where they drag , kick , bend twist and beat the living crud out of it ....


i dont see , nore would i expect to ever see a talon handle those same tests ... look at the fortrex , aluminum frame , powerful , built to take a beating , but try and put it through a beating ....


you'll be buying all sorts of replacement plastic parts that broke on you ... i'd be skeptical this early on ....
