2014 Lake Erie Open

As the Niagara Open will no longer be run we are excited to announce that the St. Catharines Bassmasters will be starting an open event on lake Erie to fill this void.
Please see the details below and in the Entry Form / Rules attached.

The tournament is open to all, not just OBN members.

Please note that blast off will be in the order that entry form and payments are received. Payment secures you spot, not just the entry form. As we are capping the field to 40 boats we encourage all to sign up in advance. Deadline for payment via check is Oct 24th, all entries after this date must be paid via cash. A list of entrants will be kept up to date on BFB.

PLEASE NOTE:
Tournament date is set for Saturday November 8th, if the lake is blown off it will be moved to Sunday November 9th. “IF” the lake is blown off again on November 9th as determined by the tournament director,then the event will be moved to the Upper Niagara River (Launch site TBC) and the Lake will be determined closed or open and boundaries set. Safety of boaters will be priority. If due to extreme weather conditions the entire event must be cancelled, full refunds will be given to competitors paid in full prior to the event.

Clarification of rule #5 that "any waters" includes US Waters. Those travelling to US must have appropriate licenses to do so.

Rule #5 from entry form
"Fishing boundaries include any waters defined as accessible by boat without locking through. In case of emergency, where necessary –one competitor can go ashore (i.e. phone) while the other competitor must remain in boat. One competitor must stay in the boat at all times –cellular phone number(s) will be made available at check in for emergency purposes."

All, The deadline for payment via check is this Friday night Oct 24th. After that all payments must be cash.
