I received a call from a Team Ontario member yesterday looking for a chart for the upcoming Bassmaster Federation National Championship upcoming on November 3rd - 5th, 2011 on the Ouachita River, Louisana.

Since I was unfamiliar with this waterway I hunted and hunted and hunted and hunted to find a chart with this river system. To make a long story short (and it took a lot of research), the river is mostly uncharted!

I did find the following exerpt on a blog via google. :*

"The last time the Bassmaster Tournament Trail came to the Ouachita River was in November of 2003 when Harold Allen posted his first BASS victory with a catch of 38 pounds, four ounces in a Central Open. He did it by targeting the D'Arbonne Bayou area where he fished a depression on a large flat with a creature bait and ringworm"

This info was the key and allowed me to find the D'Arbonne Bayou on the Navionics Hotmaps Premium South and Hotmaps Platinum South chips. In all appearances, it doesn't even appear to be part of the river system. Apparently it depends on how much rain they get!

If you are heading that way and need a chip, we have them in stock now!
